Sumptuous Surfaces online course

I am currently doing Sharon Boggon's Sumptuous Surfaces course through Joggles.

This is my piece for the first half of the course. We had to produce a monotone design focusing on texture and the layers of the piece. I was inspired by the start of the Tour de France being in London and then by a lovely day cycling in the New Forest with my fiancee.

The second piece we're introducing colour and this picture from the front of one of Duncan's magazines really drew me!

I really wanted to make use of colour wheels in this piece - so I decided to do the same panel 3 times changing the colours for each.. Using the three primary colours was actually an accident, but I really like the idea!
